It's worth mentioning that MSED is free, and that you can mute the side or the middle, or adjust the gain of both separately. So you can send an element to a track with MSED on it, and use any plugins you like to use on only the mid or the side. I used it straight on the tracks to add more guitar, and bring the cymbals up, without it getting in the way of the rest of the mix, by turning down the mid gain and turning up the side gain. It's definitely worth grabbing if you want to experiment with Mid Side processing, then whether the effects plugins support mid side becomes irrelevant.

What kinda mic did u use for the cab?

Distortion is soooo mystical, and is able to solve almost everything in a mix and pre-mix.

Ill definitely utilize more distortion, i like to use it subtly when building my mix but havent utilized it this way. Typically i like to use fruity waveshaper for instrumental distortion, it has a very pronounced character vs the other distortion options on FL studio. For vocals i use fruity blood overdrive in a similar fashion to the way you use this plugin, minus the EQ options besides hi and lo cutting. I dont have much control of eq ranges, but i utilize a technique to do that by sending the instrument or vocal to another send and processing it with distortion and an EQ filter in whatever region i was trying to boost, then blend it with the original.

I found this video really helpful and I like it. I would love to see more of you using the multiban on the bass to hear how you approach making room for the kick and guitars.
